Screw air compressors are widely used in industrial applications and are favored for their high efficiency, low noise and stable performance. However, screw air compressors may encounter high temperature tripping failures during operation, especially in summer, which will not only affect production efficiency, but also cause damage to equipment. This article will discuss in detail the causes of high temperature tripping of screw air compressors and the corresponding treatment methods.

Cause 1: Insufficient lubricating oil and incorrect lubricating oil specifications.
Treatment: Check the lubricating oil quantity. If it is lower than "working", the lubricating oil should be replenished.

Cause 2: Insufficient cooling water and high cooling water temperature.
Treatment: Check the inlet and outlet water temperature difference and check the inlet water temperature.

Cause 3: The oil cut-off solenoid valve is not energized or the coil is damaged, and the oil cut-off solenoid valve diaphragm is broken or aged.
Treatment: If the temperature control valve is judged to be damaged, repair and replace it.

Cause 4: The ambient temperature exceeds the specified range.
Treatment: Usually the air compressor room should not be higher than 45℃. If it does not meet the requirements, increase the exhaust and lower the room temperature.

Cause 5: Oil cooler is blocked.
Treatment: Check the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the cooler. The normal temperature difference is 5~8℃. If it is greater than 9℃, the oil cooler pipeline may be blocked. If it is lower than 5℃, it may be fouling on the wall of the oil cooler. It can be cleaned with a cleaning agent.

Cause 6: For air-cooled air compressors, there are cooling fan motor failure, cooling fan damage, exhaust duct obstruction or large exhaust resistance (back pressure).
Treatment: Repair and replace the cooling fan. If the exhaust duct is obstructed or the exhaust resistance is cleaned with high-pressure air.

Cause 7: Thermal control valve (temperature control valve) failure.
Treatment: Check whether the oil is cooled by the oil cooler. If not, continue to check whether the thermal control valve (temperature control valve) is operating normally. The most common failure of the temperature control valve is stuck due to carbon deposition. The inspection method only requires the valve core to be removed and cleaned with a carbon deposition cleaning agent.

Cause 8: The oil filter is blocked, causing the oil flow to decrease.
Treatment: Replace the oil filter.

Cause 9: Temperature sensor failure.
Treatment: Repair or replace the temperature sensor.

In short, high temperature tripping of screw air compressors is a common problem, but this problem can be effectively avoided through regular maintenance, timely troubleshooting and improved operating environment. Regular inspection of the cooling system, lubrication system and the inside of the compressor, use of high-quality consumables, and operator training are all important measures to ensure the stable operation of the screw air compressor. I hope this article can help you better understand and solve the problem of high temperature tripping of screw air compressors.
